Our charter
Independent reporting in the public interest
news nexus exists to inform readers accurately across breaking news, national and international affairs, politics, technology, sports, and entertainment. We report what we can verify, say plainly what we do not yet know, and treat our readers as the reason the work matters.
Editorial standards
How every story is verified
01
Source
Reporters identify primary sources and document where each claim originates before drafting begins.
02
Cross-check
Key facts are confirmed against independent sources, official records, or direct observation wherever possible.
03
Edit
Editors review language, context, and attribution, removing claims that cannot be supported by the reporting.
04
Publish and correct
Once live, stories are monitored, and any error is corrected openly with a visible note explaining the change.
Our pledge
Objective reporting, free from corporate and political bias.
We disclose conflicts of interest, protect anonymous sources only when there is no other way to report a matter of public importance, and correct mistakes promptly and transparently.
